I've started to get more enquiries about equine shiatsu now as Spring may be finally arriving, mostly for muscular skeletal problems and /or anxiety and tension - I'm hoping I can help!. People often ask me if I can help their horses backs. Shiatsu is often foung to be very helpful for back problems but Shiatsu therapists don't manipulate and they look at the back problem as part of the whole picture not just as something on its own. I always ask if the saddle has been checked as there is no point in me working away on the horse if its saddle is totally wrong.
I'm currently doing a years course in reflexology so I hope to be able to offer a more all round holistic therapy service to horse and rider. I'm finding that there are a lot of links between shiatsu and reflexology
